The Superficial

“There are none so blind as those that can see”, goes the old saying. Why is that? A deficit of hindsight, insight, and foresight altogether. That’s the problem of a too narrowly focussed perspectivising consciousness. Sight here merely glances off the surface of things. Consequently, thought merely ricochets off the surface of things. That’s what it means to be “superficial”.
