Fasten Your Seatbelt

I had not heard of this until today, but apparently increasing atmospheric turbulence is having a severe impact on aviation, in terms of both damage to aircraft and injuries to passengers. This increasing turbulence is being linked to climate change.

One can’t help but be surprised by this, even though it should have been anticipated as a principal symptom and logical consequence of climate change. Still, there seems to be no end of ironies or “revenge effects” at our end of history.
